Students form Terra MBO joined us at the Graanrepubiek in Bad Nieuweschans for a design workshop. They worked with old bread to design new table ware. The students were surprised by the results and surprised themselves: ‘I feel so calm, I don’t want to go home’ – said one of them.
The workshop is part of the project Lokale Maakplaats and was given by Eileen Blackmore and designer Simone Larabi.
We organized a series of workshops for the students in which we paid attention to the role of design, the presentation of food and story behind it, design thinking, food waste, table ware and the last one was about working with old bread.
